BASIS goes to Ireland

Tattersalls Ireland are now 'live' running an updated and improved version of BASIS, the bloodstock auction system developed by the Eclipse team. The February Sale was the first to be run entirely in BASIS from start to finish and the system has proved to be a great success, speeding up several bottlenecks in the processing of information during the day of the sale. Scanning the horse passports at the bloodstock sales desk makes it quick and easy to record who's arrived.

BASIS' first run out was celebrated by a major triumph for Tattersalls Ireland with the first horse in a February Sale going for 100,000 euros. The highest previous price for a horse at this sale, historically, was 80,000 euros.

BASIS is designed specifically to meet the business needs of the Tattersalls organisation. For the Newmarket sales there is also an iPhone and iPad app as an integral part of the system, complete with all the pedigrees plus updates and withdrawals. Sales results are immediately available as horses go through the ring, and the Make-an-Offer facility can also be accessed via the app. Tattersalls catalogues for sales from the year 2000 to date are now available to search and view, saving an awful lot room on that bookshelf!

Three Counties Equine take the plunge!

RCVS Accredited Three Counties Equine Hospital has a long and illustrious history, with a purpose-built operating theatre and extensive diagnostic imaging facilities, and they are soon to become the newest member of the Eclipse family.

Three Counties are looking forward to a much more streamlined back-office system. They have opted to take the full suite of Practice Management, Lab, Pharmacy and PACS programs, enabling completely integrated operation of the whole practice. The great thing is that all parts of the system have the same look and feel, making it quick to learn and easy-to-use.
"We spent a long time choosing our new IT system", said Practice Manager, Sarah Smith, "and in Eclipse I believe we are bringing in a proven winner!

"The Eclipse team have spent time with us learning about the way the practice works, and are taking care to ensure that as complete a history of clients and animals as possible is brought forward into the new system. They really understand the in's and out's of equine practice and we are delighted to be migrating to a really modern, well-designed software suite. Eclipse PMS and PACS is still developing new features and we will be able to take advantage as these become part of the standard installation", Sarah added.
