Records broken at Tattersalls October Yearling Sales
9th October 2014
Tattersalls' new Repository system, designed for the prestigious 2014 October Book 1 sale by Brian and the team at Eclipse Veterinary Software, has received many plaudits. Uploading images to the Repository in advance is much easier now and viewing lots very straightforward for vets commissioned by clients considering purchases.
"We wanted to ensure that it wasn't a chore in future," said Eclipse Technical Director, Brian Whitt. "We know that burning CDs and trying to get them sorted out when animals arrive at Park Paddocks is not ideal, so we have designed the system to make uploading Dicom images or videos much less time-consuming."
October Book 1 broke the records again in 2014 with turnover up 13% on 2013 and more than 79,000 guineas changing hands during the three days of the sale. The highest price of 2.6m guineas was paid for a Galileo colt, and three lots topped the million mark on the final day.
