We have been very busy lately working on an extensive new database for Weatherbys.
Designed and developed by Brian and the Eclipse team, the new Bloodstock System will streamline many of the processes involved in researching sales catalogue pedigrees, race results reporting and the huge variety of print and online services provided by Weatherbys to their clients.
Continuously in business since the late 1700’s, Weatherbys is famous for its registration of British and Irish thoroughbred births for nearly three centuries, with copies of the General Stud Book dating back hundreds of years on show at the premises, along with many other items of royal and racing memorabilia.
Although there is more work to do, the first elements were rolled out for live use this month and have met with widespread approval by bloodstock team members. Mike Butts, Head of Bloodstock Services, said “We are delighted with progress on the new system so far. Even at this stage, we can see it’s going to help us improve the timeliness, depth and rapid accessibility of the information we are able to provide to our clients.”
